Default Getting to a Spirit of Truth!

Sooo, I've been out of the game a bit and have been doing some research, and I guess from what I've read, A-net changed DoA. X_X Well, looking at Wiki, the fastest way to get to a SoT would be to do the Ravenheart Gloom area, but the first quest there is impossible! There's a total of 25 enemies that end up all gathering together from the waves in the quest "To the Rescue!" which stops us from reaching the second quest "Deathbringers Company". Does anyone happen to have an idea on the best way of handling this quest or maybe a suggestion as to a better path to take? Much appreciated for any ideas and thank you everyone. ^__^!

You can do City in around 30 mins with an Ursan group (these are pretty much the only teams that do doa now days). After that, Just c-space and button mash until the spirit appears.
Guide for Ursanway:

After that, you can just go to DoA, join a group, and then you can just learn as you go.

city is fastest - don't do foundry or stygian takes way to long!

I always found gloom easyer than city with ursan, the rescure quest is super easy with ursan and assuming you dont over aggro the Rift or end boss parts, its like a 13 min run. City has to many energy degen mesmers >_<

from a player that never actually entered DoA
Then don't think its too easy

There are a lot of nice builds that just don't work down there and it definitely takes a lot of time to find something (non standard) that works against those hordes of enemys. Underworld or Urgoz leave more free space for experimenting with builds...

About blinding...
You might get chopped down before you can finish [skill]throw dirt[/skill]

but of cause there interesting builds yet to be discovered.
